Healthy Smoothie Recipe -
Morning Wake-up Shake

Before making this healthy smoothie recipe, please read the information in Breakfast First for guidance as to specific brands and types of ingredients to use. It also explains why we do certain things if you are not familiar with raw foods and alternative eating.

In a Vitamix, or sturdy regular blender, put all of the following ingredients:

½ to one frozen banana depending on size

½ to 1 cup frozen fruit of your choice (blueberry, strawberry, mango, peach, cherry, etc.)

½ to 2/3 cup raw milk, Rice or Almond milk or yogurt (plain) Put in a little milk to prevent motor strain if using yogurt.

1 Tablespoon ground Salba seeds or flax seeds (either purchased that way or ground in a coffee grinder)

1 Tablespoon raw almond butter if desired - will add calories

1 scoop of Dr. Mercola’s Protein powder (choice of flavors)

Stevia, Luo Han Guo or Xylitol to taste if using yogurt

*****************************************************************

1. Mix together in Vitamix (use tamper if necessary)

2. Add in a raw egg slowly after all of the other ingredients have been blended. First test the egg for safety.

3. Pour into a mug or bowl and enjoy!

I like to use chocolate with the blueberries, strawberry with the strawberries and vanilla with any of the other fruits, but you may choose any combination you like.
