The Dangers of Sugar

Most people are not aware of just how bad the dangers of sugar really are, even though they know that eating sugar is not good for you. Here's a link to an article called "Killer Sugar - Suicide With A Spoon that shows how this innocent seeming substance is dangerous for human consumption. It will really change the way you think about this sweetener from now on.

The dangers of sugar in a bowl For further information and clarification, here is an excerpt from another place called "Counting the Many Ways Sugar Harms Your Health in Dr. Mercola's website of information:

"Here's a handful of problems you can clearly avoid by limiting with the idea of eliminating sweeteners as well as grains from your diet today. Sugar can:

make your tendons more brittle.

increase your risk of Alzheimer's disease.

slow down the ability of your adrenal glands to function.

cause emphysema.

impair the structure of your DNA.

Again, I urge you to take a look at your sweetener intake and the state of your health today. I assure you your life will be better for it."

For an exemplary in-depth video, which I highly recommend, of exactly how this substance is harmful, please watch the video called "Sugar: The Bitter Truth" that can be found on Dr. Mercola's site along with a pretty disgusting "ad" for high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).

It will make you think twice before eating this highly addictive substance again. It should be required viewing for all of the American people so that they understand really well the dangers of sugar.

One other reason to do away with this sweetener is that the FDA just recently approved genetically modified sugar beets. So unless you like eating Frankenfoods, your best bet is to buy organic if you must have it. I do buy it for my hummingbird feeders because they're my favorite birds and I don't want to take a chance on hurting them in any way.

Benefits Of No Longer Eating Sugar

Eliminating this addictive substance was extremely difficult for me at first until I addressed so many of the other issues I was facing. It definitely was affecting my adrenal glands, which were already suffering from too much abuse. Also I was finally able to eliminate Candida from my body, which I thought would never happen. That is just one of the dangers of sugar.

I no longer have hypoglycemia and, as long as I stick to the principles of my nutritional type, which is a Mixed Type, I can go for quite a long time without eating (six or more hours) and I don't feel hungry. My energy level is up, I don't feel "brain fog" anymore, and all of my numbers are where they should be for triglycerides, cholesterol, and fasting blood sugar. These too are some of the dangers of sugar consumption.

I no longer have cravings for sweets (that took a LONG time!) and processed baked goods hold no appeal to me at all. Only a chocolate chip cookie can occasionally call to me - that's the only thing I might succumb to eating.

In short, I am on my way to optimal health now since I have a new healthy way of eating, with grab and go goodness. Come along with me and be on your way to great health too.
