Most tuna salad recipes have unhealthy omega-6 fats or genetically modified canola or soybean oil in them. These are the ingredients in a typical restaurant mayonnaise: soybean oil, water, egg yolk, corn syrup, distilled vinegar, salt, spice, calcium disodium EDTA added to protect flavor.
This healthy recipe utilized dolphin safe tuna and grapeseed oil mayonnaise that is egg free, dairy free and preservative free. The brand is Vegenaise and can be found at Natural Foods Warehouse and Whole Foods.
Be sure to get the one with grapeseed oil (which will give you wonderful anti-oxidants from the resveratrol in it), not any other kind of oil. There are several types and this one has a purple cap and label.
The Vital Choice tuna is U.S. troll caught with zero bycatch and is made in the U.S.A. by a family owned business. They have even made sure their cans are BPA free. Go to the Safe Fish page to find out how to get the best fish around. Enjoy the fruits of their labor!

2. Add other ingredients to taste.
